As a part of inspiration, we took a look on the apps with similar functionalities and analysed, how they are solving curtain business and user needs.
Since the company has decided to completely update their product, we proposed to bring changes also to the app map.
The design process began from the design if simple user flows and informational architecture that later on were applied to the wireframes. Next we user tested interactive lo-fi prototype to verify our ideas.
At this stage we already trided to impliment and to test the vast majority of new features. We decided to avoid app-like gestures as well as to create an adaptive design solution.
Once we completed the wireframes, we proceed with the Design System, based on the Brand Identity I curated in prior.
Moreover, another very specific task was to define the style of the illustrations. The most common styles used today are somewhat flat design, but that does not resonate with our Brand Identity.
We tried several options and selected the sketch-like line art style.
As part of the exercises we also defined and completed over 60 different user stories to determine most of end-screens, error screens and empty statuses.
The product had several rounds of user testing sessions, but the most crucial one was the first iteration of mockups using main user flows. It helped us to validate our ideas and identify strong usability issues.
It was proven that most of the innovative ideas would increase the conversion at lest by 20%.
